Louisville Breaks Shutout Late, but Falls at Hoover 6-1 – Girls Soccer

The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer Team fell to the host North Canton Hoover Vikings 6-1 Monday Night. With the loss, Louisville drops to 0-1-1.
The Leopards only goal came with 1:44 left in the contest. A pass from Kayla Gibson from the right of the penalty box found the foot of Megan Hampe and the back of the net to get Louisville on the board.

North Canton dominated the rest of the contest scoring 3 goals in both the first half and second half. Leyna McCarty and Rachel Somody each scored a pair of goals. Jillian Bell and Lesley Kiesling also added a goal each. McKenzie Hennagin, Somody, and Sheridyn Woofter earned assists as well.
With the loss, the Leopards have dropped their last three meetings again the Vikings. Louisville now trails the all-time series 2-9, which includes a 2-6 mark in games played at North Canton.
UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to Marlington on Wednesday, August 30. JV will begin at 5:00 PM and Varsity will follow at 7:00 PM.
