Boys Tennis Blanks Madison in OTCA Tournament Match

The Louisville Leopards Boys Tennis Team shutout the visiting Madison Blue Streaks 5-0 in the 2nd Round of the OTCA Team Tournament Monday at LHS. With the victory, Louisville improved to 12-3 on the year.
The Leopards won 4 of their 5 matches in straight sets. Jake Pukys & Ryan Richards each won their Singles matches by the count of 6-0, 6-1. The #1 Doubles Team of Alex Hall & Kyle Robinson were victorious 6-2, 6-0 and the #2 Doubles Team of Asa Herron & Zach Eddins also won by a convincing 6-1, 6-0 margin.
The only competitive match came in #3 Singles. Louisville’s Kyle Shepherd claimed victory after two hard-fought sets 7-6 (7-5), 6-4.
This is now the furthest the Leopards have ever advanced in the Ohio Tennis Coaches’ Association Tournament. They will host the Jackson Polar Bears in the Northeast Regional Quarterfinals on Wednesday, May 4 at 3:45 PM.
