Girls Lacrosse Claws Canfield 12-3

The Louisville Lady Leopards Girls Lacrosse team closed the contest on a 10-0 run to defeat the host Canfield Cardinals 12-3 on the road Wednesday Evening. With the victory, Louisville improves to 4-1 on the season.
The Leopards Alexa Oberster outscored the Cardinals for the game as she tallied a team-high 4 goals, recorded a team-high 6 groundballs, and caused 3 turnovers. Katie Hollifield also finished with a Hat Trick on offense for Louisville.
Canfield led 3-2 early on, but the Leopards took the lead at 4-3 by halftime. Louisville rattled off 8 second half goals as part of a 10-0 run to clinch the victory.
The Leopards defense was elite as they shutout the Cardinals for the entire second half. Regan Thomas had a number of deflected & intercepted passes and Celia Keefe also had 6 saves in goal for Louisville.
Other goal scorers for the Leopards included Emily Hollifield, Kloe Mercorelli, Liz Pugh, Emily Shea, and Marissa Vick. Hollifield, Mercorelli, and Shea all picked up 4 groundballs each for Louisville as well.
