Lady Leopards Volleyball Downs Dukes in Three Sets

The Louisville Lady Leopards downed the host Marlington Lady Dukes in three sets 25-11, 25-22, 25-12 Tuesday Evening. With the victory, Louisville is now 6-6 overall and 5-2 in NBC play.
The turning point in the contest came in the second set. The Dukes went on a 7-1 run to take a 21-19 advantage before Head Coach Jodie Cress took a timeout. Out of the break the Lady Leopards rallied to score the next 3 points and 6 of the 7 final points overall in the set. Louisville cruised to victory after that.
Offensively for the Leopards, Grace Jackson was the top server with 18 points & 6 aces, Kristen Bricker led the team with 14 assists, and both Emily Hollifield & Megan Stocker each recorded 8 kills.
Defensively for Louisville, Nicole Kettlewell led the team with 14 digs and Hollifield had a team-leading 3 blocks.
With the victory, the Lady Leopards have now taken 15 out of the last 17 from the Lady Dukes including the last 9 overall.
