Louisville Leopards Boys Golf 2020 Season Recap

Samantha's Grill AdThe Boys Golf Team was very young in 2020, returning only 2 full time varsity players.  We saw 3 freshmen in Jack Mayle, Cole Miller, and Zach Root get plenty of Varsity action while also getting sophomore Caleb Harsh enough Varsity starts to earn his 1st letter.  We had ups and downs throughout the season, playing a lot of tough courses along the way.  We finished the season a disappointing 4-6 with several losses being by 5 strokes or less.

Jenny Can Cleaning AdWe were led by Jack Mayle’s 43.5  9 hole average.  Our low 9 hole score for the season was 177 which we shot against Lake Center Christian at Sable Creek and against Dover at home.  Our low 18 hole round for the year was a 348 at Mohican Hills in the Hillsdale Invitational.

Louisville Leopards Boys Golf Season Preview

Looking to the future, we lose two varsity contributors from the 2020 team, senior, 2019 District Qualifier Ryan Aljancic and junior, Anthony Warner, who will be playing fall baseball instead of golf. We will have a couple of promising incoming Freshmen in Beau Siegfried and Michael Filipowicz. We have high expectations for the 2021 season as our younger players have varsity experience under their belts.

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdThe early part of the season will be a gauntlet as we play eight 18-hole rounds between tryouts and tournaments in a little over two weeks. We are still a very young team, having no seniors on the squad this year, but we do have a lot of talented players that are looking to see large improvements over their performances last year.

This year we will be playing some amazing golf courses as we travel to Alliance Country Club twice, Shady Hollow Country Club, Tippecanoe Country Club, Congress Lake Country Club, Fox Meadows Country Club, and Glenmoor Country Club.

Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdThe fastest season in high school sports gets under way on August 5th when we travel to Brookside Golf Course in Ashland to compete in the Simonson Invitational. It should be a great season with a great group of young men, Coach Greco and I are looking forward to seeing these young men compete day in and day out!
