The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball Team fell to the host Wooster Generals 77-44 Thursday Beatty's Grey Long SleeveNight at Wooster High School. With the loss, Louisville snaps their 5-game winning streak and drops to 7-3 on the season.

Abby Beaver led the Lady Leopards with a game-high 10 points. Ellie Jackson also scored 8 and both Sarah Lairson & Alexa Oberster added 6 each for Louisville.

The Generals outscored the Leopards in every period. Wooster was led by Macyn Siegenthaler who scored a game-high 27 and NyEmah Brown who also poured in 16. Both Skylar Clapp and Lindsay Kastner scored 9 a piece as well for the Lady Generals.

This was the first meeting between the two schools since February 4, 1989 when both teams were in the Federal League National Division. Despite the loss, Louisville still leads the all-time series 4-3 over Wooster, which includes a 2-1 mark at WHS. The victory was the Lady Generals first over the Leopards since they won 40-32 back in the 1983 AAA Jackson Sectional Tournament Finals. Louisville had won the previous 4 meetings in the series before Thursday.

The Leopards fall to 1-3 in non-conference play.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next host the Canton South Wildcats on Wednesday, January 4. JV will begin at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 7:30 PM.

The Lady Leopards JV Team edged the host Lady Generals 33-30 at Wooster High School Thursday Night. With the victory, Louisville improves to 7-2 on the season.

Rachel Israel scored a game-high 9 points to lead the Leopards. Morgan Cole also added 8 and both Maggie Galentine & Kayla Gibson tacked on 5 each.

Louisville fell behind 12-5 at the end of the first quarter, but outscored Wooster in each of the final three quarters to win the game.
