The girls’ track team competed in a very competitive meet at Woodridge High School and finished 10th with 28 points. The team was able to turn in 10 season best and/or personal best along the way. The meet started with the 3200 meter run. Maddie Bailey ran a lifetime best of 13:19.43. Then the 4 x 800 Relay team of Kylah Meyer, Peyton Novosel, Amelie Anderson, and Hailey Jackson ran 9:50.72, which was a season best. Their time placed them 3rd behind Wadsworth and North Canton. Taryn Gotschall ran a personal best time of 15.97 in the 100 hurdles placing her third. Amelie Anderson then ripped off a personal record in the 1600 meters with a time of 5:36.73. The team’s next PR belonged to Veda Lennon when she crossed the finish line in the 400 meters with a time of 61.93. The final two PRs on the track belonged to Neveah Seal. She ran the 200 meters in 29.05 and 67.37 in the 400. In the field events Taydem Everhart matched her personal best in the pole vault when she cleared 8 feet. Sarah Cleckner then leaped her way to an PR in the Long Jump jumping 15 feet.
