The Louisville Leopards Swim Teams concluded the regular season Friday evening when they hosted the Lake Blue Streaks at the Louisville YMCA. Both squads earned Senior Night victories as the Boys defeated Lake 115-48 and the Girls downed the Blue Streaks 88-82.

With the win, the Lady Leopards finish the regular season an undefeated 10-0. This is the second time Beatty's Sports Leopard Winter Hat 2in school history that a Louisville Girls Swim Team has concluded a season with no dual meet losses. The other came in 2011-12 in which the LHS girls went 13-0. The LHS Boys Swimmers also finished the season with an impressive 8-1-1 mark.

In their final home meet of the season, Louisville broke three school records. Allison Richmond finished with a time of 1:02.14 in the 100 Freestyle to break a record mark previously set in 1989. For the Boys, Alex Wesely also broke a 26-year-old record with a 1:01.53 time in the 100 Butterfly and Nick Wertz finished with a 4:32.25 time in the 400 Freestyle breaking the school record for the third time this season.

On Wednesday, Louisville hosted and swept Archbishop Hoban at home. The Boys won 93-72 and the Girls were victorious 102-68.

NBC Meet Recap

The Louisville Leopards Swim Teams competed at the 3rd Annual NBC Meet held at the Alliance YMCA Beatty's Sports Leopard Winter Hat 1 copyon Friday, January 23. The Lady Leopards won the meet for the 3rd straight season by tallying a final score of 642. The Boys Squad also placed second overall.

The Girls took first place in 8 of the 11 events. They were led by Allison Richmond (200 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke) and Amy Yu (200 IM, 100 Butterfly) who won 2 individual events each. Other individual winners included Marlena Evans (100 Breaststroke) and Alaina Hartley (100 Freestyle). In addition, the 200 Medley Relay Team (Richmond, Evans, Yu, Hartley) and the 400 Freestyle Relay Team (Hartley, Ashley Grove, Evans, Richmond) also capture first place.

The boys took first place in 7 of the 11 events. They were led by Joe Casto (50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle) and Nick Wertz (200 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke) who placed first in 2 individual events each. Alex Wesely also won the 100 Butterfly for the Leopards. In relay action, Louisville finished first in the 200 Medley (Wesely, Wertz, Michael Dubrunick, Tim Carter) and the 400 Freestyle (Wertz, Dubrunick, Carter, Wesely).

Alliance proved once again to be the toughest competitor for both squads. The Aviator Boys edged the Leopards in the final tally 595-581 to claim their first NBC Meet Title. The Louisville Girls breezed by all competition including the second place Lady Aviators who finished with 490. This marks the first time Louisville has not swept the meet as they have now won 5 out of 6 possible NBC Swim Titles.
