Update: Back-to-Back Pins by Poyser Sends Him to Quarterfinals
Lucas Poyser (152) pinned both New Carlisle Tecumseh’s Chuck Buchanan yesterday in just 3:06 and New Philadelphia’s Mitch Riker in 5:54 earlier today to advance to the state quarterfinals against St. Paris Graham Local’s Matt Stephens tonight.
Louisville’s other state qualifying wrestler, Travis Gray (215), was pinned in the opening round to Washington C.H. Miami Trace’s Travis McIntosh at the 1:36 mark. He then fell in the first round of the third place bracket 7-5 to Cadiz Harrison Central’s Matt Shurina.
