Lady Leopards Finish 14-1 and Take 4th at Tri-County Postseason – Girls Golf
Louisville – 356 (4th Out of 15)
The Louisville Leopards Girls Golf Team competed at the Tri-County Postseason Tournament this past Thursday at Zoar Village Golf Course. Louisville shot a 356 as a team which earned them 4th place out of 15 teams.
Madison Gruber shot a team best 85 and Katie Bice also shot an 86 to lead the Lady Leopards. Both Gruber and Bice earned 1st Team Tournament honors for their efforts. Alexis Ralston also shot a 92 to earn 2nd Team Tournament honors and Erin Strouse rounded out the Louisville scorers by tallying a 93. Abby Davis finished with 96 and Karli Redinger 97 for the Leopards Varsity as well.
The Marlington Dukes won the tournament with a team score of 341. The New Philadelphia Quakers took second with 343 and the River View Black Bears placed third shooting 351. Louisville and New Philadelphia finish as 2018 Co-Champions of the Tri-County South Division.
Louisville 176, Dover 199
During the Tri-County Postseason Tournament the Lady Leopards simultaneously competed agains the Dover Tornadoes in a dual match that was postponed from earlier in the year. Louisville defeated Dover 176-199 to finish 14-1 on the year. Their final record is the second best in team history only bested by the 2016 Lady Leopards Golf Team’s 18-1 mark.
Madison Gruber led the Leopards by shooting a team best 41 and Katie Bice finished with 43. Both Alexis Ralston and Erin Strouse carded 46 to complete the Louisville box score. Abby Davis also shot a 47 and Karli Redinger a 49.
Louisville 195, Massillon 241
Louisville also hosted the Massillon Tigers on Wednesday, September 19 for Senior Night. The Leopards came away with a 195-241 victory at Pleasant View Golf Club.
Katie Bice was the match medalist in tallying a 44. Other top scores for the Leopards included Felicity Adkins 49, Karli Redinger 50, and Erin Strouse 52. Maddy Fowler also shot a 55 and Josie Vanicek carded a 66 to round out the Louisville scorecard.
The Lady Tigers were led by Hayley Biehl who shot a team best 55. Meghan Davis also shot a 57, Hannah Frey a 64, and Peyton Wagner a 65.
