Townsend Sets Tone Early in Leopards Win Over Lions

The Louisville Lady Leopards set the tone early on their way to a 190-200 victory over the visiting Minerva Lions Thursday afternoon at Skyland Pines. With the victory, Louisville is now 2-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
Sierra Townsend stroked a birdie on Hole #1 and an Eagle on Hole #3 for the Lady Leopards. The Lions would never recover from Louisville’s hot start and Towsend finished with a match best score of 36.
Gabby Spehar also shot her season low of 49 and Summer Walters, despite playing injured, kept focused and shot a 51 for the Leopards. Aubrey Leone and Bailey Spring shared the fourth score of 54.
With the victory, Louisville is now 5-2 all-time against Minerva. This includes an undefeated 4-0 record at home against the Lions.
