Siegfried Named Boys Basketball District 4 Coach of the Year
Louisville Leopards Boys Basketball Head Coach Tom Siegfried was named District 4 Coach of the Year Sunday. It is the third time that Coach Siegfried has won District Coach of the Year since 2010.
Siegfried guided this year’s Leopards Basketball Team to a 13-9 record against some stiff competition in their first year as an independent. This included key victories over Walsh Jesuit, Tallmadge, North Canton Hoover, and Northwest.
Louisville also went toe to toe against perennial contenders in close losses to Jackson, Perry, Canton McKinley, St. Ignatius, and nationally ranked SPIRE Institute. The Leopards will look to use their experience from this tough schedule in the Division II Canton Tournament at the beginning of March. Louisville will host Tallmadge or Coventry to open up postseason play in the DII Canton Sectional Finals on Friday, March 1 at 7:00 PM. The 2nd seed Leopard are in search of their first District Title since 1993.
Siegfried also won Division II District Coach of the Year in 2010 and won Division I District Coach of the Year in 2015.
