Tallmadge Blue Devils at Louisville Leopards 2019 Boys Basketball Highlights
Louisville 81, Tallmadge 50
The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team routed the Tallmadge Blue Devils 81-50 in a rematch of last year’s DII Sectional Final Saturday Night at Louisville High School. With the victory, Louisville improves to 2-3 on the season.
Davis Burick and Scotty Gronow each scored a team-high 12 points to lead the Leopards. Dakota Hoffman also reached double figures with 10, Colton Jones hit 3 three-pointers to finish with 9, and Allen Staley also tallied 9 for Louisville.
The Leopards stormed out of the gate hitting 5 of their 10 three-pointers in the opening quarter in taking a 25-10 lead. Louisville would outscore Tallmadge in every quarter in taking a 44-21 halftime lead and a 67-41 advantage at the end of three quarters. LHS also outscored THS 14-9 in the final stanza to win by their largest margin in over a calendar year.
The Blue Devils were led by Danny Kurko who scored all of his game-high 13 points in the first three quarters of action. Brandon Heiglemann also hit a pair of three-pointers and finished with 12 and Nicholas Lambarker added 8 for Tallmadge.
With the win, the Leopards are now 2-3 against the Blue Devils which includes a 1-2 mark in games played at Louisville in the series.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel across town to face the St. Thomas Aquinas Knights on Tuesday, December 17. JV is set to start at 5:30 PM and Varsity will follow around 7:00 PM from The Dungeon.
