Leopards Edge Pirates 9-8 to Capture First Win – Boys Lacrosse
Louisville 9, Southeast 8
The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team edged the visiting Southeast Pirates 9-8 Friday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With their first win, Louisville now evens their record at 1-1 on the young season.
Zach Burkhardt scored a game-high 4 goals and recorded 1 assist to lead the Leopards. Bradley Terra also scored a pair of goals to go along with 3 assists for Louisville. Altogether five different LHS players found the back of the net which included Clayton McLaughlin, Tyler Shadle, and Matt Swigert who scored 1 goal a piece. Jordan Thompson also finished with a game leading 7 saves in goal to lead the Leopards defense.
The Pirates were led by James Kollar who also scored a game-high 4 goals. Jesse Mesaros added 2 goals and an assist, Keaton Dyer tallied a goal and an assist, and Iz Herron tacked on the other score. Elliot Thomas also had 2 assists and Goalie Ant Swierz had 7 saves.
This was the first ever meeting between the two foes.
