Louisville Leopards Varsity Baseball Head Coach Jason Siegfried announced his resignation early Friday Afternoon. The six year Louisville Head Coach will be leaving the diamond to spend more time with is family.

“At the current time in my life there is not enough time to be the dad I want to be and head baseball Beatty's Sports Spring 2014 Baseball Shirt 2coach,” Siegfried said of his decision. “They (His Kids) are only young once and I had to make the decision whether to be present during these important times or head coach. I made the tough, but at the same time easy decision to be present for my family.”

The Leopards finished with an overall record of 94-59 (.614) under Coach Siegfried. This included a record of 62-22 (.738) in conference play and a 7-6 (.538) record in tournament play. In 2009, he coached Louisville to their first District Title since 1988. The Leopards also won 4 consecutive Sectional Championships (2009-2012) and 2 NBC Titles (2010-11) under him.

Leopard Nation would like to thank Jason Siegfried for his hard work, dedication, and all the memories he created for us fans while coaching Louisville. It is great to see a coach setting a great example by putting his family first! You will be missed!
