Leopards Rout Quakers 85-62 – Boys Basketball
Louisville 85, Salem 62
The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team routed the visiting Salem Quakers 85-62 Friday Night at Louisville High School. With the victory, Louisville improves to 8-6 overall and 7-1 in the NBC.
Chris Libertore scored a game-high 23 points and pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds to lead the Leopards. Jared Mathie & Derek Zeller also poured in 14 points a piece and Brandon Wahl hit double figures with 10.
Louisville built an 18-3 lead at the outset and never looked back. The Leopards shot 51% (25 out of 44) from the field and expanded their lead to as many as 32 during the third quarter. Louisville also finished a sizzling 10 of 25 (40%) from behind the arch.

Mitch Davidson made 5 of 8 three-point attempts to lead Salem with a team-high 21 points. Jon Gerace also dropped in 14 and Chase Ackerman finished with 6 points & a team-leading 5 boards for the Quakers. Salem is now 5-7 overall and 2-6 in league play.
With the victory, the Leopards have now swept the Quakers in each of the past 4 seasons in taking the last 8 meetings in the series overall. Louisville is now 11-5 all-time against Salem dating back to 1946.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to West Branch to take on the Warriors on Tuesday, January 24. JV will begin at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow 7:30 PM.
