Babcock Records Hat Trick, but Louisville Falls to Riverside 18-5 – Girls Lacrosse

The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team fell to the visiting Painesville Riverside Beavers 18-5 Saturday afternoon at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the loss, Louisville drops to 1-6 on the season.
Babcock Scores Three to Lead Louisville Attack
Sophomore midfielder Izzy Babcock notched a hat trick to pace the Leopard offense. She scored once in the second quarter and twice in the fourth, giving Louisville 3 of their final 4 goals of the game.
Freshman midfielder Kasey Lint also scored for Louisville in the first quarter to put the Leopards on the board, and senior attack Cheyanne Franklin found the back of the net in the second period as Louisville entered the half trailing 7-3.
Beavers Use Dominant Third Quarter to Pull Away
Riverside outscored Louisville 7-0 in the third quarter to turn a four-goal halftime lead into a commanding 14-3 advantage. Madelyn Warner led the Beavers with five goals overall, including three in the decisive third period.
Eight different Riverside players scored in the contest. Emma West added four goals, Kiera Kellehar finished with a hat trick, and Madelyn Victor also notched a pair of goals for the Beavers. Jada Rake, Claire Sorrells, Kaylee Schiele, and Addison Bonner also added a goal each for Riverside.
The Lady Beavers are now 3-4 on the season.
Louisville Vs. Riverside Girls Lacrosse Series
Louisville is now 0-2 all-time against Riverside. The Lady Leopards lost on the road at Painesville 8-5 last season in their only other meeting.
