Louisville held the annual Powderpuff Football Game at Louisville Leopards Stadium Saturday Evening. The matchup featured over 40 girls pinning the Seniors against the Juniors. In the end the Seniors used a second half rally to down the Juniors 36-24.

Abby Beaver took over at Quarterback in the second half and led the Seniors comeback. She completed 13-of-22 passes for 143 yards & 2 touchdowns through the air and also carried the ball 7 times for 80 yards & a score on the ground.

Beaver aggressively led the Seniors on a 9 play, 65 yard scoring drive to open the second half. She connected with 3 different receivers on the drive Leopard Head Long Sleeve Blue Shirt - Under Armor - Beatty's Sports Spring 2017including Paige Haren twice. Haren also broke free for a 15 yard gain to setup the Seniors just outside of the redzone. The drive ended with Beaver scoring on a 10 yard Quarterback draw. She then connected with Amanda Blind for the two-point conversion which gave the Seniors their first lead at 20-17.

The Juniors responded by driving 45 yards on 4 different plays to Heather Guiley. Displaying shades of her brother Nathan Guiley, she accelerated into the Seniors defense racking up 152 total yards. However, her efforts were thwarted by back-to-back miscues by Junior offense. The Juniors fumbled on an exchange for a 3 yard loss and then Senior Danielle Walter intercepted a pass on the very next play.

The Juniors defense stepped up big on the next drive. Hannah Baughman intercepted a pass at the Seniors 45 and took it to the house for a pick six. She was carried off the field earlier in the game with an injury, but amazingly returned to make a huge defensive play. Baughman, who was the Kicker for the football team this past season, also booted through the extra point to make it 24-20 Juniors with 10:25 to play in the second half.
