Lady Leps Earn 1st Win, Boys Fall Against Poland – Swimming
The Louisville Leopards Swim Teams hosted the Poland Bulldogs and few swimmers from the Youngstown Cardinal Mooney Cardinals on Wednesday, December 4. The boys fell to to Poland 84-51 to drop to 0-2. However, the girls evened their record at 1-1 with a 121-111 victory over the Lady Bulldogs.
Boys: Poland 84, Louisville 51
The Leopards Boys Swimming Team fell to the visiting Bulldogs 84-51 last Wednesday Evening at the Louisville YMCA.
Michael Conway was the only winner for the Leopards in the uncontested 400 Meter Freestyle (5:18.65).
Girls: Louisville 121, Poland 111
The Lady Leopards Swim Team picked up their first win of the season in defeating the Poland Seminary Bulldogs 121-111 Wednesday Evening at the Louisville YMCA.
The Leopards took first place in 4 of their 11 events. Individual winners included Jenna McIntyre in the 200 Meter Freestyle (2:29.1), Rebecca Malzer in the 400 Meter Freestyle (5:53.33), and Olivia Lewis in the 100 Meter Backstroke (1:18.76).
The Louisville 200 Meter Relay Team of Lewis, Sophia Warner, Shaelyn Clark, and Kiersten Frankford was also victorious with a time of 2:16.08.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the Dover Tornadoes on Wednesday, December 11. Meet is set to begin at 5:00 PM from the Louisville YMCA.
