Lady Leopards Fall to Indians at Home 44-38 – Girls Basketball
Northwest 44, Louisville 38
The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball Team fell to the visiting Northwest Indians 44-38 Wednesday Night at Louisville High School. The loss snaps the Leopards three-game winning streak as they fall to 9-5 on the season.
Sherilynn Mullett scored a game-high 15 points to lead Louisville. Kayla Gibson also tallied 6 points and finished with a team-leading 6 rebounds. Both Kelsey Adelman and Maddie Dyer added 5 each for the Lady Leps.

Northwest held a 14-13 edge at the end of the first, but Louisville rallied in the second to take a 23-20 halftime advantage. The Indians would outscore the Leopards 13-10 in the third and 11-5 in the fourth to take the game.
Northwest (12-3) was led by Sophomore Carly Spradling who recorded a double double with 12 points and 12 boards. Junior Jordan Marecek led the Lady Indians in scoring with 14 points and Junior Riley Cudnik also scored 9 points.
Northwest has now defeated Louisville in each of the past two seasons since the series between the two squads resumed. The Indians defeated the Leopards 54-51 in overtime a season ago. Louisville still leads the all-time series 27-20 which includes a 13-10 mark when playing at LHS.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to Canton Central Catholic to take on the Crusaders on Saturday, January 18. JV will begin at Noon with Varsity to follow at 1:30 PM.
