Louisville Neutralizes Northwest in 3-0 Sweep – Boys Volleyball

The Louisville Leopards Boys Volleyball Team dominated in their return home, sweeping the Northwest Indians 25-8, 25-20, 25-19 on Thursday night at Louisville High School. With the victory, the Leopards improve to 2-1 on the season.
Leopards Control Match From Start to Finish
Junior outside hitter Brock Cole sparked Louisvilleās offense with 14 service points, helping set the tone early. Sophomore setter Drew Lindner controlled the attack with 11 assists while also delivering 7 aces from the service line. Freshman Evan Swope led the Leopards at the net, finishing with a team-high 8 kills, while senior Kyle Deem anchored the back row with 8 digs. Defensively, Kadan Swope and Braden Frank each recorded 2 blocks to help shut down the Indians’ attack.
The Leopards came out strong, dominating the opening set 25-8 before fending off a tougher challenge in the second set 25-20. Northwest kept things close in the third, but Louisville remained in control, finishing off the match with a 25-19 victory to complete the sweep.
Louisville Remains Undefeated Vs. Northwest
The Leopards are now 4-0 against the Indians all-time, which includes a 2-0 record in matches played at LHS. Louisville has won all 11 sets against Northwest in their four meetings together the past two seasons.
The Leopards defeated the Indians at the Polar Bear Bash Tournament, on the road in Canal Fulton, and at home for Senior Night last season all in a span of three weeks.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers on Monday, March 31. Game time is set for 7:00 PM from Louisville High School.
