Lady Leopards Defeat Quakers on Senior Night – Girls Golf
Louisville 154, New Philadelphia 172
The Louisville Leopards Girls Golf Team defeated the New Philadelphia Quakers 154-172 on Senior Night Tuesday at Pleasant View Golf Club. Louisville has not lost in over a month in moving to 16-1 on the season.
Katie Bice shot a season low 35 to lead the Lady Leopards as the match medalist. Others scoring for Louisville included Erin Strouse 37, Madison Gruber 40, and both Abby Davis and Alexis Ralston who both shot 42. Seniors Maddy Fowler and Lexi Wasosky rounded out the Leopards Varsity shooting 45 and 47 respectively.
New Philadelphia was led by Sydney Devore who carded a team best 37. Rounding out the Quakers top scores were Kayla Dyer 43, Allie Jurkovic 44, and Leah Corbett 48.
New Philadelphia was the only team to defeat Louisville a year ago. The Leopards have now avenged that loss by sweeping the Quakers for the season. Louisville now leads the all-time series over New Philadelphia 3-2, which includes a 2-1 edge in home matches.
UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next compete at the Tri-County Post Season Tournament on Thursday, September 19. Tee-time is set for 9:00 AM from Zoar Golf Club.
