With the victory, Louisville remains unbeaten at 5-0-1 on the season overall and 3-0 against NBC foes.

Brady Vanover ran for three touchdowns on the ground and scored on a conversion run to lead the Leopards. Vanover was the finisher for Louisville running in scores from 4, 4, and 5 yards out.

Daniel Kennedy caught two of those passes and Andy Larson broke open for a 33 yard scoring reception on the other. Kennedy caught a 9 yard touchdown pass to open the scoring in the first quarter and also scored from 25 yards away near the end of the third. Kennedy also ran in a conversion run and recovered a fumble in the endzone to score another conversion.

It did not matter as Larson caught a pass a few yards short of the endzone, ran to the right, and plunged in for the conversion try to make it 36-20 Leopards with 2:07 left to play.

The Lions threatened twice in the fourth quarter, but the Louisville defense recorded a pair of takeaways to halt any chance of a Minerva comeback. Josh Stafford recovered a fumble in the backfield at the Leopards 27 yard line for the first turnover. Just minutes later, Larson intercepted a Lions pass on the Louisville 13 yard line and returned it 20 yards to halt the Minerva threat.
