Mother Nature Shortens Match, but Leopards Tame Tigers – Boys Golf

Louisville 190, Massillon 199
Mother Nature shortened the opening match for the Leopard Boy’s golf team at Sleepy Hollow Country Club. Scheduled to be an 18-hole match, lightning delayed the match near the halfway point. The match continued for another 5 or 6 holes before a Severe Thunderstorm Warning forced the coaches to decide to make it a 9 hole match and cancel the remainder of the match.
The match was won by Louisville by a score of 190-199. The Medalist of the match was Massillon’s Matt Moyer who carded a 42. Rounding out the scoring for the Massillon Tigers was Braxton Miller with a 49, Ethan Friedrich with a 52, and Nate Albrecht with a 56. The Leopards were led by Caleb Prasco’s 43. Finishing out thescoring for the Leopards were Sam Casto with a 48, Jacob Godwin with a 49, and Connor Wendt and Justin Shafer tied with scores of 50 apiece.
With the win, the Leopards start the season 1-0. The Varsity Leopards will compete in the Alliance Invitational on Monday at Alliance Country Club at 9:00.
