Lady Leopards Bounce Back Against Dukes – Girls Tennis

The Louisville Leopards Girls Tennis Team downed the visiting Marlington Dukes 4-1 Tuesday at the LHS Tennis Courts. With the victory, Louisville evens their mark overall at 3-3 and in league play at 1-1.
Kennedy Keister led the Lady Leopards by recording a dominated 6-0, 6-1 victory in #2 Singles. The Louisville #2 Doubles Team of Mackenzie Murphy and Mandy Plaskett also won in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.

The Leopards also carved out victories in two other matches that were decided in the full three sets. Jo Menegay fought back to win #3 Singles 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 in taking the tie-breaker 14-12 in the final set. The #1 Doubles Team of Kat Brown and Sherilynn Mullett also rallied for a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 win.
Lettie Mitchell claimed #1 Singles 6-0, 6-4 to earn the lone point for the Lady Dukes.
Louisville now leads the all-time series 49-20 with victories over Marlington in their last 17 meetings.
