The Louisville Leopards Varsity Baseball Team rallied for a 9-4 win over the visiting Marlington Dukes on senior night Monday at Andy Aljancic Field. With their second straight win, Louisville improves to 12-7 on the season.

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdLouisville weathered a scare by Marlington in the second inning as they coughed up three runs, but the Leopards still won 9-4 on Monday. The Marlington offense in the inning was led by Dylan Heatherington and Caden Bates, who all drove in runs.

Marlington took an early lead in the second inning when Bates singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

In the third Karson Siegfried singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run, Cole Miller singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Zach Root singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, Andrew Corona singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Charlie Roberts singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Connor Morley tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Jenny Can Cleaning AdBryce Graziani led things off on the mound for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The pitcher surrendered four runs on five hits over four innings, striking out five.

Carter Difloure was on the pitcher’s mound for Marlington. He went two and a third innings, allowing seven runs on eight hits and striking out one. Drew Simmons threw three and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.

Equitable Advisors - Bryce MathieLouisville Varsity Leopards racked up 12 hits on the day. Morley, Corona, Miller, and Siegfried all managed multiple hits for Louisville Varsity Leopards. Siegfried, Miller, Corona, and Morley each managed two hits to lead Louisville Varsity Leopards. Louisville Varsity Leopards didn’t commit a single error in the field. Corona had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.

Marlington had seven hits in the game. Bates, Nate Johnson, and Garett Dillon each racked up multiple hits for Marlington.
