Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdThe #14 seed Louisville Leopards Boys Soccer Team was shutout by the defending state champion #1 seed Howland Tigers 2-0 in the DII Akron East 1 District Championship Saturday at Roosevelt Stadium in Kent. With the loss, Louisville finishes the season with a final record of 8-6-5.

DiPiero & Kenney Score Howland Goals

Howland scored the only two goals of the contest. Senior Dylan DiPiero broke the deadlock with a goal at the 9:18 mark of the first half allowing the Tigers to ride a 1-0 lead into the break.

Junior Jak Kenney added an insurance goal with 13:11 to go in the contest to give top seeded Howland a commanding 2-0 lead that they would carry to the final whistle. The Tigers improve to 16-3 with the victory and will continue their quest to defend their 2020 state title.


Leopards Best Tournament Run All-Time

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdWith the loss, Louisville is now 19-22 in the postseason all-time which includes a 17-18 record while playing in Division II. This was the first ever tournament game played by the Leopards at a neutral location.

Louisville is now 8-4 in the tournament under Head Coach Jared Komo who took over the program in 2018. This is the furthest the Leopards have ever gone in the playoffs in their 22 year history.
