Leopards Take Down Falcons at Quicken Loans Arena 66-56 – Boys Basketball
Louisville 66, Austintown Fitch 56
The Louisville Leopards downed the Austintown Fitch Falcons 66-56 Thursday Afternoon at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. With the victory, Louisville improves to 3-1 on the year.
Brandon Wahl scorched the nets with a game-high 26 points and Derek Zeller also poured in 21 to lead the Leopards. Both Wahl and Zeller hit home 4 three-pointers each as Louisville made 10 shots from behind the arch as a team. Cam King also dropped in 9 for LHS.
The Leopards led after every quarter en route to victory. They got the best of the Falcons in a highly offensive first quarter 20-17 and maintained their advantage by the skinniest of margins at the break 33-32. Louisville outscored Fitch 15-12 in the third and 18-12 in the fourth to take the game by double digits.
The Falcons were led by Dylan Beany who scored a team-high 18 points. Randy Smith also scored 9 and Emanuel Dawkins 8 for Austintown.
The Leopards are now an undefeated 3-0 against the Falcons all-time, winning in each of the last 3 seasons.
