Leopards Split Meet in Final Trip to West Branch – Track and Field

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Track Team traveled to West Branch to take on the Warriors on a rainy, cold Tuesday evening onApril 24. The Louisville Boys fell to West Branch 93-35 to drop to 1-5 on the year. However, the Lady Leopards prevailed 86-41 to move to 4-2 in the NBC.

Boys: West Branch 93, Louisville 35

Winners for the Boys individually included Nathan Guiley in the 100 Meter and Jack Strzyznski in the 110 Hurdles. The 4×100 relay team also won their race.

Shot put: Weisseman (WB) 41-0. Discus: Adams (WB) 98-5. High jump: Calderone (WB) 5-6. Long jump: McKeiver (WB) 19-10. 3,200-meter relay: West Branch 8:50. 110 hurdles: Strzyzynski (L) 17.6. 100: Guiley (L) 11.6. 800 relay: West Branch 1:34. 1,600: Joseph (WB) 4:50. 400 relay: Louisville 46.0. 400: Johnson (WB) 55.3. 300 hurdles: Rastetter (WB) 41.8. 800: Joseph (WB) 2:14. 200: McKeiver (WB) 22.9. 3,200: Joseph (WB) 11:04. 1,600 relay: West Branch 4:03.

Girls: Louisville 86, West Branch 41

The Lady Leopards placed first in 11 of 14 events for a convincing NBC win at West Branch.

Beatty's Sports Louisville Leopards Flashy Hat Fall 2016Heather Guiley won 3 different individual events to lead the Lady Leopards. She placed first in the 100 Hurdles, 300 Hurdles, 200 Meter, and also took second in the 100 Meter. Kayla Gibson won that 100 Meter race for Louisville and also won the 400 meter race.

Caitlyn Gatta also won two races for the Lady Leopard who finished first in 11 of the 14 events Tuesday. Gatta took the 800 Meter individually and was part of the victorious 4×800 relay team that also consisted of Emma Patterson, Iris Menegay, and Destini Adorisio).

Other winners included Morgan Cole in the 1600 Meter, Emily Fresenko in the 3200 Meter, and Karli Miller in the Long Jump.
