Leopards Edge Warriors to Conclude Season 13-5 – Girls Tennis

The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Tennis team concluded the regular season with a 3-2 victory over the host West Branch Warriors in Beloit Thursday. With the win, Louisville finishes 13-5 overall in dual matches and 8-2 in the NBC.
The Leopard won 2 out of their 3 singles matches. Jo Menegay recorded the only straight set victory for Louisville in #3 singles by the count of 6-0, 6-4. Kennedy Keister also rallied to win #2 singles 2-6, 6-4, 6-3.
In doubles action, the #2 team of Mackenzie Murphy and Amanda Plaskett won a back-and-forth match for the Leopards to the tune of 6-0, 3-6, 6-2.
The Lady Warriors were led by #1 singles player Marina Egli who registered a 6-0, 6-7 (5-7), 6-3 win. West Branch also won #1 doubles in three sets 6-4, 0-6, 6-4. The victors included Allison Slutz and Morgan Hovorka.
The Leopards now lead the all-time series over the Warriors 52-4. Louisville has won 18 straight over West Branch overall. This is the Lady Leopards final match in the Northeastern Buckeye Conference. They finish 119-13 (.902) in the NBC all-time ranging from when tennis was an official conference sport from 1990-1992 and 2005-2017. Louisville also also finishes an astounding 72-2 in the league for the decade.
