Girls: Tuslaw 72, Louisville 64
The girls Varsity track team competed hard but came up 8 points short to the Mustangs of Tuslaw 64-72. The team managed to score in 15 of the contested events. The two exceptions being the 4 x 200 and the pole vault.
Gaining wins for the Lady Leopards were:
Diana Pukys in the Long Jump, and 400 meters
Taryn Gotschall in the high jump
Sloane Sypolt in the shot and disc
Marisa Brown in the 800
The 4 x 800 relay team of Pukys, Brown, Bailey Menegay, and Camryn Barker
The 4 x 100 relay of Molly Simpson, T. Gotschall, Hailey Jackson, and Gabby DeGasperis
The 4 x 400 relay team of Jackson, Brown, Gracie Wilson and Pukys.
Second place finishers were:
Luka Buydos in the discus
Hailey Jackson in the 200 and 400
Camryn Barker in the 3200 meters.
Third Place finishers were:
Paige Anderson in the shot put
T. Gotschall in the 100 hurdles
G. DeGasperis in the 100
Landyn Scheetz in the 300 hurdles
Chloe Cole in the 1600 and 3200 meters
G. Wilson in the 400
The team will be at Perry high School for the very competitive Stark County Championships on Saturday.
