For the second straight game 4 or more Leopards reached double figures. Cam King scored 6 of his 11 points in the final quarter. Colton Jones hit a pair of three-pointers and added 10 as well.

Not a whole lot was decided at the end of each of first three quarters. The two teams were knotted at 13-13 at the end of eight minutes. Louisville held a slight 20-18 edge in the second quarter to take a bucket 33-31 lead into the locker room. The Panthers returned the favor by outscoring the Leopards 15-13 in the third to tie the game at 46-46. LHS would outscored NHS by 12 if the final period to take the contest.

Norton was led by Nate Dobben who scored all of his game-high 16 points in the first three quarters. Dobben sustained an eye injury which held him out the entire fourth quarter. Phil Wallace also hit a pair of three-pointers and scored 15, while Tyler Scott rounded out the Panthers leading scorers with 9.

This is the third meeting between the two teams in their history. Norton defeated Louisville 75-53 in their initial meeting back on February 28, 1996 in the DII Sectional Tournament at Canton Memorial Fieldhouse. The Leopards also hosted a DII Canton Sectional Final in a 77-58 win over the Panthers back on March 2, 2018.
