Lady Leopards Bested in 2nd Half At Hoover – Girls Basketball

My Fit Life Personal Trainer AdThe Louisville Leopard Girls Varsity Basketball Team fell to the host North Canton Hoover Vikings 55-38 Saturday Afternoon at Hoover High School. With the loss, Louisville falls to an even 3-3 on the year.

Kendal Loy scored a team-high 14 points to lead the Lady Leopards. Paige Cole also scored 8 and Kelsey Adelman tacked on 6 all in the first half.

Louisville trailed 16-12 at the end of the first before outscoring Hoover 15-7 in the second quarter to take a 27-23 advantage into the half. North Canton dominated the rest of the way outscoring LHS 21-8 in the third quarter and 11-3 in the final period.

The Lady Vikings were led by Peyton Davis who poured in a game-high 28 points. Jordan Miller also reached double digits with 10. Kate Haubert and Angela Roshak also added 6 a piece for Hoover.

Louisville now trails the all-time series 21-22 and holds an 8-10 mark in games played at Hoover. The Lady Leopards have not won at North Canton since a 51-42 victory on January 11, 1989. This also marks the first time the Lady Vikings have led the all-time series over Louisville since March 2, 1978 when the Lady Leopards evened the series at 3-3 after a 39-36 Perry Sectional Semifinal Tournament win.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to face the Dover Tornadoes on Monday, December 16. JV will begin at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 7:30 PM.
