Louisville Nips Nordonia 3-2 – Girls Tennis

The Louisville Leopards Girls Tennis Team edged the host Nordonia Knights 3-2 on the road Thursday. With the victory, Louisville improves to 3-1 on the season.
The Lady Leopards singles players continued to stay strong as they won all three matches to carry LHS to victory. Rachel Kibler earned a hard fought 7-6 (7-3) win in the first set of #1 Singles and then dominated the second set 6-0 to earn the team point. Jo Menegay rallied to win #2 Singles 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 and Sherilynn Mullett captured Louisville’s other victory in #3 Singles 7-5, 6-4.
The Knights won both doubles matches in straight sets. Winners included the pair of Riley Wilson & Jackie Kopniske in #1 Doubles 7-5, 6-1 and the duo of Merenzi Lewis & Jenesis Rankis in #2 Doubles 6-3, 6-2.
This was the first ever meeting between the two schools in girls tennis.
