Lady Leopards Blank New Philadelphia for 9th Shutout – Girls Tennis

The Louisville Leopards Girls Tennis Team blanked the host New Philadelphia Quakers 5-0 Monday Evening. With their ninth shutout of the season, Louisville improves to 13-3 on the year.

Sophomore Rachel Kibler earned a perfect 6-0, 6-0 victory in #1 singles to lead the Lady Leopards. Senior Jo Menegay also took #2 singles 7-6 (7-1), 6-4 and Junior Sherilynn Mullett won #3 singles by a near perfect count of 6-0, 6-1.

My Fit Life Personal Trainer AdBoth Louisville doubles team won their matches in straight sets. Senior Mandy Plaskett and Sophomore Jade Thomas earned a 6-0, 6-3 win in #1 doubles. Senior Carleen Fouts and Sophomore Bailey Menegay were also victorious 6-1, 6-2. 

The Lady Leopards are now 12-0 against the Lady Quakers all-time dating back to 1978. Louisville has swept New Philadelphia in each of the past two seasons. The Quakers are now 11-6 on the year.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next host the Howland Tigers on Monday, September 23. Senior Night will begin at 3:50 PM followed by the match beginning at approximately 4:15 PM.
