Leopards Season Best Not Enough to Down Lions – Boys Golf

The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Golf Team fell to the host Minerva Lions 159-164 Thursday at Edgewater Golf Course. With the loss, Louisville falls to 6-7 on the season and 5-7 in conference matches.
The Leopards were led by Caleb Prasco who shot 3 over par with a team low 39. Other scorers for Louisville included Sam Casto and Justin Shafer shooting 41 each and Connor Wendt carding a 43. The Leopards score of 164 is their lowest team score this season and their lowest tally since defeating the Carrollton Warriors 158-176 at Carroll Meadows on September 22, 2015.
The Lions were led by Scotty Wilson who finished one over par to shoot a match best 37. Rounding out the Lions scoring were Chris Lowe and Connor Wright who shot 40 a piece, and Trey Weber who had a 42. Minerva is now 10-4 on the season and currently tied for first place in the NBC with Marlington and West Branch.
