Then the Leopards offense marched 73 yards on 10 plays before Kuhn punched in a score from a yard out to give Louisville a 7-0 lead that they would never relinquish.

The next two Leopards scores came via touchdown connections between Quarterback John Doerschuk and Receiver Doug Shook.  The first was a 42 yard pass in the second quarter and the second was a 35 yard touchdown pass in the third. Shook finished with 4 catches for a team-high 101 yards. Louisville finished 8 of 15 passing for 159 yards.

A bright spot for the Eagles was the receiving ability of Pete Martelli who caught a game-high 8 catches for a game-high 126 yards. On Glenwood’s only scoring drive, Martelli had 4 receptions for 65 yards and caught a 23 yard touchdown strike from Quarterback Jim Bressi.

Bressi completed 14 of 32 passes for 170 yards, but his performance was marred by 3 interceptions. One of those picks found the hands of Louisville defender Wally Wallace.

Louisville held Glenwood to just 35 yards on the ground. The Leopards Dave Mazzan accounted for just as many yards individually and also ran in a two point conversion. Kuhn spearheaded the rushing attack and scored two more touchdowns from 5 and 1 yards away in the fourth quarter. Louisville finished with 218 rushing yards.
