The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team edged the host Hawken Hawks 9-8 Tuesday Night at Walton Stadium in Gates Mills. With the victory, Louisville improves to 6-4 on the season.



Davide and Reynolds Record Hat Tricks

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdJunior attack Jacob Davide and senior midfielder Joe Reynolds each recorded hat tricks to lead the Leopards in scoring. Davide notched his hat trick with just 13 seconds left in the game to break an 8-8 tie and lift Louisville to victory.

Senior midfielder Brandon Kimble also scored a pair of goals and junior attack Zach Bennett added a goal to round out the Leopards scoring.


Wengerter Leads Leopards in Goal

Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdLouisville jumped out to a 5-3 advantage after one quarter, but Hawken blanked the Leopards 4-0 in the second quarter to go into the half up 7-5.

The story of the second half was Louisville senior goalie Evan Wengerter who would surrender just a single goal over the final 24 minutes of action. He shutout the Hawks in the third quarter, which allowed the Leopards to inch closer at 7-6. Early on in the fourth quarter, Louisville would not the game at 7-all.

The two teams exchanged goals to keep the game tied at 8-8 before Davide flushed home the winning score with 13 ticks left.


Louisville Vs. Hawken Boys Lacrosse History

Jenny Can Cleaning AdThis was the second ever meeting between the two schools in boys lacrosse. Hawken won at Louisville 6-2 last season.

The Hawks were the #4 ranked team in Region 6 and #14 ranked team in Division II coming into the contest.
