Leopards Blank Aviators 5-0 – Girls Tennis

The Louisville Leopards shutout the host Alliance Aviators 5-0 Thursday at Alliance High School. With the win, Louisville improves to 9-5 overall and 6-2 against the NBC.
The Leopards dominated singles play in winning all three matches in straight sets. Tori Esposito led Louisville by earning a 6-2, 6-2 victory in #1 Singles. Kennedy Keister was nearly perfect in her 6-0, 6-1 victory in #2 Singles and Jo Menegay also won in #3 Singles 6-3, 6-1.
Doubles action was more competitive, but both of Louisville’s teams prevailed in the end. The #1 team of Sherilynn Mullett and Amanda Plaskett won in three sets 6-2, 4-6, 6-2. The #2 team of Kylie Bowen and Mackenzie Murphy also rallied for a 6-7 (1-7), 6-0, 6-1 victory to ensure the Leopards fourth shutout of the season.
Louisville has now defeated Alliance in 20 straight matchups. The Leopards now lead the all-time series over the Aviators 55-3.
