Louisville Drops Close Match at Akron Firestone – Boys Golf

The Leopards dropped a close match with Akron Firestone on Thursday at J.E. Good Park Golf Course in Akron by a score of 175-178.
Leading the Leopards were Ryan Aljancic and Sam Karcher (career low) with 43 each. Justin Shafer came in with a 45, while Logan Vanicek, Tommy Karcher, and Logan Yadrnak all came in with 47s.
Firestone was led by match medalist Nathan Ryan with a 39. Joe Hohlefelder came in with a 44, Russ Smith carded a 45, and Spencer Sasha shot a 47.
The Leopards fall to 4-5 on the season with the loss. We will return to the links on Saturday at Glenmoor Country Club at 1:00 for the Stark County Championship.
