Lucas Strouble scored 24 points to lead the visiting Marlington Dukes past the Louisville Leopards 64-45 Tuesday evening at LHS.  Blake Hoover led the Leopards with 12 points and Bryce Beatty's Winter HoodiesMathie also added 8 points to lead the Leps.

The Dukes ran out to a 25-6 lead early on in the second quarter to take control of the contest.  The Leps answered with a 12-5 run to end the half and went into the locker room down 31-18.

Marlington outscored Louisville 15-8  in the third quarter to build their lead to 20 points.  The Leopards nipped the Dukes in the fourth quarter 19-18, but the damage had already been done.

Chris Andrews also broke double digits with 12 and Thomas Mason had 8 for the Dukes.  Drew Noble, Pavin Parks, and Alex Schooley all finished with4 points each for the Leopards as well.

With the win, Marlington improves to 11-6 overall and keeps their NBC hopes alive at 8-3 in the league.  With the loss, Louisville has now dropped 10 straight contests and is 3-15 overall and 1-11 in the NBC.  The Dukes have now taken the last five meetings in the series from Louisville.

JV: Marlington 44, Louisville 37

In the rematch of a thrilling JV game earlier this season, the Dukes closed out the final 2:35 on an 8-1 run to take the contest 44-37 over the Leopards.

Louisville was led by the three-headed Jake attack that included Jake Mathie with 12, Jake Pukys with 10, and Jake Adams with 8.

Marlington was led by Zach Masterson with 11, Ben Martin with 9, and Jacob Begue with 7.

With the loss, the Leopards are now 9-8 overall and 7-5 in NBC play.  With the win, the Dukes improved to 10-6 overall and 8-3 in conference play.
