Louisville Drops Lincoln West to Finish 2-0 at Mayor’s Classic

The Louisville Leopards Boys Basketball team upended the Cleveland Lincoln West Wolverines 71-52 in the Mayor’s Classic at Massillon Washington High School Tuesday evening. With the victory, Louisville improves to 6-0 for the first time since the 20-0 season of 2000-01.
Four Leopards scored in double figures led by Drew Noble who scored a team-high 18 points and pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds. Joe Crank also hit 4 of 5 three-point attempts and dropped in 17, Chris Libertore scored 15, and Jake Adams added 13. Crank and Libertore also dished out 4 assists each.
Louisville controlled the game throughout as they held the lead for 30 of the 32 minutes played. The Leopards led 17-10 after one, 35-19 at halftime, and 51-35 at the end of three.
The Wolverines were led by Jonathan Santiago who scored a game-high 22 points. Josue Reyes also tallied 11 and Andre Smith added 6.
Louisville walked away as the only undefeated team of the four participants at the Mayor’s Classic. Perry and Massillon finished 1-1 and Lincoln West went 0-2.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to Minerva to take on the Lions on Tuesday, December 30. JV will begin at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow at approximately 7:30 PM.
