Louisville Varsity Leopards Fall After Strong Showing By Waynedale Varsity Golden Bears

Louisville Varsity Leopards couldn’t keep up with Waynedale Varsity Golden Bears and fell 9-2 on Friday.
Waynedale Varsity Golden Bears opened the scoring in the first after Shane Coblentz hit a solo home run to center field.
Waynedale Varsity Golden Bears added one run in the second after Cameron Miller doubled to right field.
Waynedale Varsity Golden Bears added one run in the third after Logan Troyer grounded out.
Coblentz earned the win for Waynedale Varsity Golden Bears. The hurler surrendered four hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking two. Brock Leghart took the loss for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The hurler went five innings, giving up five runs (four earned) on 10 hits, striking out six and walking none.
Louisville Varsity Leopards tallied nine hits in the game. Caden Kortis went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Jake Paumier led Louisville Varsity Leopards with two hits in two at bats.

It came down to the wire on Friday, as Louisville Leopards JV 2025 grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 6-5, over Waynedale Junior Varsity Golden Bears. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the seventh when an error scored one run.
