The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team fell on the road to the host No. 6-ranked St. Ignatius Wildcats 83-64 Tuesday night at Sullivan Gym. With the loss, Louisville has now lost 4 of its last 5, dropping to 8-9 on the season.

Rogers Scores Career-High 29 to Lead Leopards

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdCohen Rogers scored 19 of his career-high 29 points in the second half to lead the Leopards. Rogers also knocked down 3 of his game-high 5 three-pointers in the fourth quarter, pouring in 14 points in the period. The final quarter would be the only period in which Louisville outscored St. Ignatius, 27-19.

Blake Carr hit a first-half three-pointer and scored 6 of his 9 points in the second half for Louisville. Jake Baker and Max Mathie added 8 points each, with Mathie making a pair of three-pointers. Other scorers for the Leopards included Brandon Sanders with 5, Colton Dougherty with 3, and Colten Norris with 2.


Vaughn Jr. Scores Team-High 14 to Lead Wildcats

West Main Vet Clinic AdCarlos Vaughn Jr. made a pair of three-pointers and scored 8 of his team-high 14 points in the third quarter to lead the Wildcats. Sami Dari and RJ Jones also finished in double figures with 11, all coming in the first three periods of action. Dari made a team-best 3 three-pointers.

Other top scorers for St. Ignatius included Keith Seide with 8, Alex Mack and Joe Maloof with 7 each, and Jordan Fortino with 5. Each of the four players made a three-pointer each as the Wildcats finished with 9 three-pointers as a team.

Gionino's Pizzeria Oakwood - Mobile AdOverall, 15 St. Ignatius players found the scoring column. Tristan Watkins and Henry Widdowson scored 4 each. Ronan Gauntner, Aidan Lawless, Ian Phiri, Sam Shoda, and Brody Spicer all added a field goal for 2 points each. Denahi Melton also converted a pair of free throws in the second quarter to finish with 2 points.

The Wildcats have now won 5 of their last 7 games overall. St. Ignatius is now 10-5 on the season and is currently ranked sixth in the state in Division I.


Louisville Vs. St. Ignatius All-Time Series

With the loss, the Leopards are now 2-4 against the Wildcats all-time, which includes an 0-3 record when playing at St. Ignatius in the series. Louisville defeated St. Ignatius by the score of 67-65 twice in 2015 and 2025 for their only wins. The Wildcats have outscored the Leopards 226-156 in their three meetings in Cleveland.
