The Louisville Leopards Wrestling Team traveled to face the Howland Tigers on Thursday night and delivered a commanding performance, cruising to a 63-12 victory. Louisville controlled the meet from start to finish, securing a mix of pins, technical falls, and forfeits to claim their latest dual win.

Leopards Dominate Early

Louisville jumped out to an early lead, setting the tone with Paxton Laughlin (106) securing a 17-1 technical fall over Brayden Cortese. Xavier Pollard (113) followed up with a first-period pin in just 1:08, while Colton Rhoads (120) picked up a forfeit victory, giving the Leopards a quick 17-0 advantage.

Howland got on the board at 126 pounds, where Patrick Neff edged Mikhail Montgomery in a 6-3 decision. However, Kaiden Barker (132) got the Leopards right back on track, recording a 7:19 pin over Aidan O’Donnell.


Louisville Pulls Away

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdThe Leopards continued their dominance through the middleweights, racking up more bonus points. Aric Criss (138) controlled his match and earned a 15-0 technical fall, while Beau Nezbeth (144) followed with a pin in 4:27 over Eddie Morrison.

Howland managed another six points with a forfeit at 150 pounds, but Abel Bolyard (157) responded with a 1:29 pin over Josh Merritt. Wyatt Smith (165) kept the momentum going, securing a 2:02 pin against Aidan Whittenberger to push Louisville’s lead to 46-9.


Leopards Close Strong

Romeo's Pizza Louisville, Ohio AdHowland’s Calvin Croff (175) won a tight 7-6 decision over Brayden Elsass, but that would be the final victory for the Tigers. Micah Bricker (190) picked up a forfeit win, and Jakeb Beard (215) dominated with a 3:53 pin over Owen Dreher.

Heavyweight Zander McCrobie (285) capped off the night in style, earning a 16-0 technical fall over Noah Swope, sealing the 63-12 team victory for Louisville.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to take on the Boardman Spartans on Tuesday, February 4. Match is slated to begin at 7:00 PM from Boardman High School.
