Louisville Falls in Five-Set Battle at Howland – Boys Volleyball

The Louisville Leopards Boys Volleyball Team battled through five grueling sets but came up just short in a 25-23, 22-25, 18-25, 25-16, 6-15 road loss to the Howland Tigers on Tuesday night. With the loss, Louisville is now 1-1 on the season.
Junior outside hitter Brock Cole delivered a standout performance, recording a team-high 10 kills while also racking up 20 service points and 7 aces. Senior Kadan Swope added 6 kills, and freshman Evan Swope made his presence felt defensively with 3 blocks. Junior libero Kyle Deem anchored the back row with an impressive 39 digs, keeping the Leopards in the fight throughout the contest.
The back-and-forth matchup saw the Leopards claim the opening set 25-23, but Howland responded by taking the next two 25-22 and 25-18. Louisville forced a decisive fifth set with a 25-16 fourth-set win, but the Tigers pulled away late in the final frame, winning 15-6 to seal the match.
The Leopards are now 2-3 against the Tigers all-time, but a winless 0-3 when playing at Howland.
