Archbishop Hoban 4, Louisville 2

The Louisville Leopards Freshman Football team was downed by the host Archbishop Hoban Knights 4-2 in a scrimmage late Thursday Afternoon at Dowed Field. With the loss, Louisville finishes the preseason 1-1.

The Leopards scored on their first possession via a 65 yard touchdown pass from Quarterback Colton Jones to Runningback Grayson Beamer.

After a Hoban score, Louisville would find the endzone again on their next drive. Wide Receiver Ryan Pukys made a diving behind the back grab for a 24 yard gain down the right sideline to put the Leopards into Knights territory. On the very next play, Runningback Nathan Guiley broke free down the right side for a 30 yard touchdown run to give Louisville a 2-1 lead.

The Leopards would not score again during the scrimmage. Hoban would add another score with the starters in before scoring twice after the benches cleared. Calvin Dudley led the Knights with a pair of touchdowns from 29 and 40 yards out.

UP NEXT: The Freshman Leopards will next host the Canfield Cardinals on Thursday, August 25 at 5:00 PM at Louisville Leopards Stadium.
