The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball Team succombed to a fourth quarter rally by the host GlenOak Golden Eagles 36-34 Wednesday Night at GlenOak High School. With the loss, Louisville drops to 5-11 on the season.

Barwick Drops In Team High 14 to Lead Louisville

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdCourtney Barwick scored 7 of her team high 14 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Lady Leopards.The trio of Maggie Baker, Mabel Kiko, and Ella Tillett all added 6 points each and Reagan Biery rounded out the Louisville scoring with a basket.

The Lady Leopards led at the end of each of the first three quarters. They jumped out to a 9-8 lead at the end of one, maintained that margin leading 12-11 by halftime, and increased their advantage to 23-20 at the end of the third quarter.


Gadison Scores Game High 16 in 2nd Half for GlenOak

Romeo's Pizza Louisville, Ohio AdNakahleigh Gadison scored all of her game high 16 points in the second half to lead the Lady Eagles. Gadison would score 10 of of GlenOak’s 16 points in the fourth quarter to lead their comeback. The Golden Eagles would outscore the Leopards in that final stanza 16-11 and broke a 34-34 tie in the final minute of action.

Amiyah Chester scored in every quarter and finished with 12. Kobi Marsden also tallied 6 and Lauren Thomas added 2 for GlenOak.

The Golden Eagles improve to 4-13 on the season with the victory.


Leopards Vs. Golden Eagles Girls Basketball Series

The Lady Leopards have now lost 7 of their last 8 matchups with the Golden Eagles, and their last 5 in the series overall when playing at GlenOak. Louisville is now 24-31 against the Golden Eagles all-time, which includes an 11-17 record when playing at GlenOak High School in the series.

The 70 points scored is the lowest combined total between the two former Federal League foes since their second meeting back on February 17, 1977. The Golden Eagles won that 66-point affair at Louisville 42-26.
