The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Soccer Team fell to the host GlenOak Golden Eagles 3-1 Saturday Night at Bob Commings Field. With the loss, Louisville drops to 3-2-1 on the season.
Burton Gives Leopards Early Lead
Carter Burton scored the first goal of the game via an assist from Dominic Porter-Kovacich. Burton has now scored in four straight games and leads the team in goals scored with 7. Porter-Kovacich also has a team best 6 assists on the season.
Golden Eagles Score Three Unanswered
The Golden Eagles tied the game at the half and then added two more goals in the second half to extend their advantage to 3-1. The Leopards were unable to find the back of the net the rest of the way.
Louisville goalkeeper Giovanni Foradis recorded 8 saves.
Louisville Vs. GlenOak Boys Soccer Series
This is the Leopards first loss to the Golden Eagles since 2021. Louisville won both matchups in 2022 and the two teams played to a scoreless draw last season. Prior to that GlenOak had dominate the series and still holds an 18-2-3 record over the Leopards overall. Louisville is just 1-9-1 when playing at GlenOak all-time.
The Golden Eagles are now 4-1-2 on the season.
