Leps Playoff Runs Heads “South” with 7-2 Loss

Canton South 7, Louisville 2
The Leopards could only muster three hits against Canton South pitcher Logan Bowles in a 7-2 defeat in the District Semifinals at Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium Thursday evening.
The Wildcats pounded out nine hits against Louisville pitching and played small ball in rout to the victory. Bowles struck out eight Louisville batters and pitched all seven innings for Canton South.
Dillon Sterzbach, Jon Crank, and Christian Duckworth had Louisville’s only hits. Duckworth scored on a passed ball in the fifth and Shawn Adams hit a sacrifice fly to score Crank in the seventh for the Leopards only runs. Louisville finishes the season with a 14-10 record, but still has at least a share of the NBC Crown for 2011 campaign.

The Girls Softball team’s District Semifinal game has been moved to Saturday, May 21 at 1:00 PM. Louisville will play Perry at Massillon Community Park during that time, while Hoover and Lake will play at 3:00 PM.
